Default Has anyone here gotten pancreatitis from the diet pill Alli?

According to the label one should consult a physician if they have HAD pacreatitis, kidney problems, or gall problems. However, I read information on a Web site that claims they think taking the diet pill can actually GIVE you pancreatits. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. Because I think it gave it to my perfectly healthy sister.

Yup. I believe I got pancreatits from Alli. They said is was from alcohol (which may be true) but Alli was specifically related with tampering with the pancreas enzymes.

Sent me over the top perhaps.

    Default Alli

Recently I began taking alli for helping me out for my weight loss. My stomach began to feel like it was torn up. Before knew it I was in the hospital with pancreitis one of the most painfurl illnesses you can have. I believe it was directly to taking Alli. I was in the hospital four days. Got off of alli no more problems. Be careful on picking what is out there. Anyone can tell me about there personal expeerience please let me know.

    Default Alli and pancreatitis

I took alli about 8 months ago for only about 2 weeks because I felt so bloated and horrible. Since then I have had a heaviness in my upper abdomen. I had my gall bladder out 4 months ago but still have this symptom. Since the gall bladder removal, I have had 2 instances of pancreatitis, the last one for which I was hospitalized for 2 days. Nothing showed up on a CAT scan. My pancreatic enzyme (lipase, I think) was elevated at 10 times normal. Next, I'm having an ultrasonic endoscopy.

    Default Alli and pancreatitis

I have just been hospitalized for 3 days with a very painful case of acute pancreatitis. I've taken Alli when I'm going to eat a high fat meal but no regular use. I've probably taken about 100 capsules over the last 9 months. The doctors were stumped as to the cause because I have none of the risk factors and no gall bladder disease. It's been 10 days since the onset and I had another flare up on Sunday. I'm seeing a specialist tomorrow morning about a pretty invasive test. I wasn't aware or the warnings but I do feel that Alli contributed to if not caused my problem.

    Default Alli Diet Pills

Hello, my name is Ashleigh. My mom was hospitalized 4 days ago with Pancreatitis. She had no past health problems relating to it and there is, as far as i know, NOT a history of it in our family. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone who got pancreatitis while on the alli pill to e-mail me your story atbecause my mom is planning on taking this problem to court

I heard a lot of other health problems caused by Alli. That's why FDA is investigating it now. Goodluck!

I had never problems with pancreatitis. I bought Ali, and after the 2nd pill was in the ER with pancreatitis. I know that has to be the cause of it.
