Default New book about health restoration (including how to lose weight) by gullyfourmyle.

I'm in the process of writing a book titled 'Cold Comfort - the geography and biology of health care in the 21st century'.

This is the link: John Newell's Blog | Red Room

The reason I'm writing it on line is so that people who need the help can find it as soon as it's available. Another reason is that people like yourselves might want to comment on it here on the Diet Forum. In effect, you can help shape the book right here on this forum in your own time.

The comments or criticisms you make I'll incorporate with your permission. I will assume I have your permission if you quote my work then comment, criticize or ask a question on this forum or by e-mail to me.

The thrust of this book is not just Weight Loss or Health Restoration. Since I'm writing on line and don't have a publisher who can nag at me about going off topic, I'm going to cover topics that normally would never see the light of day.

Among those topics will be examples of crimes committed within and by health care systems. I'll also look at how governments sanction many crimes committed by medical establishments around the world. Some crimes are committed in every country because the proceedures are considered normal and are accepted as proper treatment. When you know about Health Restoration, you know there are crimes being committed rather than proper healing techniques.

Those of you who visit this forum do so mostly because you're fighting weight gain. Please accept that weight gain is not a normal condition and that every pound you weigh over your ideal weight is dead weight that impacts your health. Therefore it follows that proper Health Restoration will generate weight loss to your ideal body weight and fitness.

The problem with many if not most over-weight individuals is that they're looking for a way to lose weight by eating fake foods that cause illness without getting sick or gaining weight. A living oxymoron. Sort of like trying to keep a tire from blowing up by continuing to add air until it explodes. Same with exercise. Our bodies were designed to work hard. If you can't accept that you need to put in the time and effort you'll reap your rewards in loss of limbs, eyesight and organs, dying piece by piece.

One thing about my writing is this. I'm blunt and there's no topic I won't talk about. If you want the straight goods, go to Red Room - a writer's site every once and a while and read what I've posted. I plan to put the entire rough draft up there. So far I've been writing an article every couple of days or so.

Every other diet writer has to confine him or herself to a narrow topic so it can be very difficult to relate health issues in a given work with things like post-operative nutrition, constipation and fraudulent medical practices. Things fall through the cracks.

This will likely end up being a pretty big book or maybe more than one book. I have no idea whether Red Room will let me keep it up or make me take parts of it down if I bog down their sites.

I must say, Red Room where my book is posted is a site that can be pretty slow to load. There is a lot on it and I'm about to load it up some more.

There is no charge for you reading my work on line. The on-line viewing is free. But please don't copy it to somewhere else unless you're quoting and commenting. Feel free to copy the link to your friends and particularly the medical, dental and pharmaceutical establishment. The more the merrier. Maybe a doctor or two will join in. I've already criticized a doctor on that site for the Kevin Trudeau stuff he posted so I'm off to a good start.

Right now October 13, 2010, there are six chapters posted.

I'm writing as simply and clearly as I can so you don't have to be a med student or a doctor to read it.

Essentially, this is a medical work from the patient's point of view and it will be a pretty harsh look at how medical systems treat their patients.

You might not have thought about it but doctors by omission are at the root of the obesity crisis. I'm going to explain that in detail in the book when I get to it.

I've been waiting a long time to write this book. Three decades of research have gone into it and of course as it progresses, much more will be done.

I invite you all to take the journey with me and restore your health, lose your extra pounds and have some fun.

Oh yes, there will be lots to laugh about. As tough a subject as health issues can be, a bit of levity is good medicine and the odd bit of foul language will spice it up a bit too.

This is a great post and thank you for giving us an idea of what to expect from your book. You an absolutely correct sir! If we gain more than our ideal weight, we have to be alarmed and do something about it. You explained the issue of gaining weight and what to do to keep our body healthy in a way that we will understand. In a way that will open our eyes that we need to exercise and eat right if we want to live longer.

Thanks for sharing gullyfourmyle! This is a great book to make dieters understand the importance of maintaining a healthy eating lifestyle. I agree that most over weight end up eating the wrong foods to lose weight. I think most are bargaining to not compromise the taste of their food and not deprive themselves of the foods they are so used to eating.
