    Default Dieting

    Dieting is defined as an activity of ingesting food in a reduced fashion to attain a particular objective. In almost all the cases, the target is to lose the weight. Sometimes, dieting can also be done to gain weight as in case of athletes. They need to do it to build muscles. But generally spoken, dieting means reduced though regulated intake of foods.

    The energy that humans get from the food they eat is retracted by the efficiency of digestion and the efficiency of its utilization. The efficiency of the digestion is mainly based on the type of the food eaten. Poorly chewed food particles are poorly digested. So, the dieting begins with the selection of the food and also the method and timing of the foods to be taken.

    Dieting is done to keep body fit. This fitness is in terms of all bodily systems working in good conditions, proper musculo-skeletal coordination and above all being free from the diseased state. For proper dieting one has to understand proper nutrition. Humans require essential nutrients. These nutrients produce energy in the form of calories that is used by the body to perform various day-to-day functions. Now, if the calorie intake is more than what is burnt by the body, these extra calories are stored in a body in the form of fat.

    It is very well known fact that obesity or fatty body is more susceptible to get some chronic and stubborn disease like diabetes, heart trouble and top of that impotency. Dieting controls the body’s metabolism and regulates the calorie intake and calorie burning. Dieting is often accompanied with some physical exercises depending upon the condition of a person and purpose of the diet.

    Dieting should not be confused with starvation or fasting, which is entirely different in performing and also in purpose of doing so. Starvation or fasting is something like a pause in taking meals, whereas the dieting is regulating the intake of food. In many regions, the starvation or fasting carries religious value whereas, dieting has nothing to do with that.

    There are various types of dieting. Health science has reached many milestones. There are continuous researches going on to evaluate each and every aspect of human body. This makes a diet to be more peculiar as per the condition. For instance many people are on ‘sea-food’ diet. Some latest theories suggest being on ‘grape-diet’, which will clean up your blood and make you free from various disorders. On the other hand, the bodybuilders are given ‘heavy diet’ as their muscles consume more energy while doing vigorous exercises. This ‘heavy diet’ with extra calories will meet the body’s requirement.

    In short, the dieting plays an important role in human’s life. This will keep the body fit and in shape. Apart from an attractive look, the body is powered by immunity and so free from any diseased state. All you need is the mind set up for dieting and you should stop your mouth getting watery when you see your favorite dish with high calories….!
