    For those of you, who do not understand how to lose weight, follow these 5 simple tips:

    1. Get the Right Information:

    The right information about how to lose weight is the key to weight loss. Most of us are not used to questioning and probing and that results in our consuming a lot things we should not have. Read nutrition labels, cross check all that you hear from others and do not try any fad diet that comes your way.

    2. Do NOT Skip Meals:

    Instead eat small frequent meals. How to lose weight by eating? Small frequent meals will keep you feeling full and prevent mindless binging. It will provide you wholesome nutrition without starving you.

    3. Control your Portions:

    Most of us do not know when to stop. Portion control is among the most important tips you can give to someone who wants to know how to lose weight. One way to cut on portions is to use a small plate while eating. Eating slowly and using smaller dishes makes a significant difference in the amount of food consumed.

    You must also make sure that you STOP eating before you are full. We often do not realize how much we have eaten until very late.

    4. Stay Motivated:

    Keep reminding yourself of the reason you want to lose weight and the methods you know on how to lose weight. It may be an important event, the wish to stay fit, or just the feel-good factor. Involve your closest family members and friends and let them also motivate you.

    You will realize that motivation can make you do things you thought were impossible.

    5. Exercise:

    Make sure that you take up some form of exercise; be it yoga, gym, dance, walking or even skipping. This is extremely important if you want to know how to lose weight. Take the first step if you haven't started already; and if you have, make sure that you maintain a constant pace or gradually increase the amount of exercise that you do.

    thanks for the info.. it is absolutely right .. it is quite tough though !!! I am trying diet which has very little fat and carb and more protein, veg and fruits and have lost about 7 pounds in a month.. i am a vegetarian so for protein , I use more beans and pulses and cook veg with very little oil ..i am on low fat diet due to health issue too so that has made it more possible !!

    You have a great diet there NKR! I'm sure you'll do fine and lose more weight. I don't follow any diet program/plan but I just observe a healthy lifestyle by not drinking and smoking and avoiding the junks. It has made me fit and healthy ever since.

    I'm sure you're going to be fine and be at the best health with the diet that you observe. As long as you keep a healthy and active lifestyle, you'll be at your best shape and avoid any complication with your health condition.

    I also observe low calorie and low fat diet. I maintain 1000 - 1200 calories everyday and I have lost a lot of weight for a year now. I have just recently added a few servings of fruits and vegetables to keep a balanced diet and I have never been healthier. I also started dieting when I was having problems with my heart. So far everything is alright and I have not experienced chest pains at all.

    I agree! Staying healthy doesn't only mean eating right but also staying active. Exercising will help keep our body healthier as it burns excess calories and help remove toxins from the food we eat by sweating. Drinking plenty of water will also help us stay at our best shape as it cleanses the organs and flushes toxins out of the body.

    Thanks for the great article. I think one big thing with me is I usualy skip lunch, right now i've been on a protien bar diet :P

    the most vital part is motivation. you can try my tips:

    pick a picture of a beautiful girl, eg: your dream girl..

    and put that on your mirror...

    say to yourself: im gonna loose my weight

    or you can put a diabetic person who suffer?

    hehehe.. you can always motivate yourself with various way, guys

    True. That's why I make sure to reward myself everytime I see weight loss progress. Now, I bought new sets of clothes (one size smaller) and aim to fit in them in 4 months. I'm planning a another reward for myself when I achieve it.
