Exclamation Foods To Avoid When You Have Asthma

Food-triggered asthma is uncommon but it really is possible. I have allergic reaction to artificial sweeteners that I instantly have difficulty breathing the moment I consume any food with it. It's really weird but it happens.

Any foods that contain additives benzoates, sulphites and gallates can cause a problem with those who suffer from asthma.

Cider, wine and beer also should be kept away from. Foods that have yeast or mold like bread and blue cheeses also should be avoided. Certain colorings also can affect these patients. These include E102, E104 and E110.

Cow’s milk, wheat cereals, eggs, fish, soy and nuts, more so peanuts, should typically be avoided.

Coffee, due to its caffeine, can help control how severe an asthma attack is.

Spicy foods like chili, hot mustard, garlic and onion can dilate air passageways. They do so by stimulating nerves, which creates a watery fluid in the mouth, throat and lungs.

I agree mikaela. Some of these foods are cause allergies which triggers asthma attacks. They should also avoid high salty foods since it may also worsens asthma symptoms.

you are right viktoria. Food allergies could cause chronic asthma.. Food preservatives too so it's best to avoid them.
