Thanks for posting this. Simple tips which are very helpful yet we ignore on our everyday living. I should keep this in mind..
Yeah that's right! Why didn't I think of this before? LOL! It's easier that way and yeah I agree with you mikaela that you won't need to pressure yourself to lose weight too much. I believe that this will also make me keep the pounds off! One pound a month is really easy if we think about it! It's a very reasonable goal and definitely realistic and attainable. Thank you jrbriches for this helpful blog post!
Wow! This is a very promising product but also expensive I believe . Are there any proven/reported side effects?
You are absolutely right! IF we stop trying so hard to lose weight and just take it easy and lose a pound every month. We'll be losing 112lbs a year, 24lbs in 2, and 36lbs in 3 years! That's really amazing and very inspiring. Sometime putting too much pressure on yourself to lose more weight is making you feel stressed and could make you eat more comfort foods, then you'll forget about dieting again. I love your idea and I will surely do this! Thank you for your blog post!
Why does this have to be the ONLY reiablle source? Oh well, gj!
Angela why where you black listed from Dr. S's diet clinic, what bad experiences did you have

It freaks me out a little bit how quick some moms are to diet after having a baby - it's not healthy for them or the child, because their bodies need to recover. I had a little boy 2 years ago, and I didn't jump straight into a diet afterwards - I'm taking it slow. Sure, not back to my pre-preggie body, but that's my own fault - but I'm not far from my goal. A friend of mine's husband joked to her about how she'd better fit back into her clothes a month after giving birth - and instead of telling him hell no, she encouraged the idea and is trying as hard as possible. Her little one is only four months old.
I didn't know that you cannot lose more than 2lbs a week when you are breast feeding, otherwise it will end up in mother's milk. I am not sure if my friend knows that. She gave birth last month and she is breast feeding, and she is doing her best to lose a lot of weight. Good thing I read this post because I think she's also not eating more than 2000 calories everyday.
I just have to say that if there is a perfect weight loss solution, obesity will not be a global problem anymore. Many of us are now busy with work, school, and other careers that we fail to take care of our health when it should be our first priority.
I agree with wildman. There is no short cut to weight loss. If you want to keep it off, you have to keep moving and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
I do that to but it doesn't bother me either. I normally eat less when I watch a show or dvd I really like because I concentrate on what I am watching
I have also started exercising everyday for about 4 months and I am happy of the results. I have more energy and feel very healthy. The reason I wanted to lose weight was to keep some weight off my heart because it's weak. Now I am doing okay and I have never been healthier. Healthy eating pays off and makes a big difference in a person's confidence
I have seen people being discriminated because of their weight and it is just sad that people are this shallow. You cannot judge a person's character because of her weight. I have a woman friend who weighs 110 lbs, she's only 4'10" tall, and looks fat. She hasn't had any suitors and is always nicknamed as babe (babe the pig) until she lost weight, which I think is just absurd. She's still the same person but guys don't see her for her character but for her weight and for me it's just so wrong.
I do watch tv while I eat but I don't think I eat more because when I prepare my food, I only eat half cut of rice, a cut of vegetables, and a little serving of meat. I don't get myself more food when I finish it. Most of the time I am full with this serving. If not the foods I have in my plate is too much for me to finish. So I don't really mind watching tv while having my meal because the foods in my plate are already measured and I don't add more.
I have substituted any drinks with water unless I don't have other options then I drink soda. I have been happy with my weight because I have lost a few pounds and feel healthier. I like my water icy cold so I am happy to read that it also helps with the weight loss.
I agree that a binge eater has psychological problems too. Probably they are stressed or lonely so they get comfort from food. In my case I don't eat too much but the stress and the change in my biological clock, plus lack of sleep contributed to my weight gain. I did lose weight before but gained it back until I started exercising. I have not gained weight for 4 months now even if I eat all the foods I want to eat, except for junk foods which I totally avoid.
I've been in a situation where my family are saying not nice things about my weight gain. I was skinny before and because of stress and change in my activities for working graveyard I gained about 30lbs which was not easy for me. I struggled with my weight loss because it was not easy. Now I have lost about 15lbs and I am really happy about it because I don't have to deprive myself of food. The secret is portion control and exercise. I have to say though that people are sometimes too mean on fat people. They don't like seeing themselves that way and they have surely tried to get rid of those extra fat but failed. What skinny people can do is to be nice and encourage their friends to lose weight for better healthy instead of laughing about it.
