I was just noticing, when viewing some post replies, that people may not always be aware of their eating habits.
One place where people tend to eat a lot (and drink a lot) is when they are watching television. Often, this happens in bed, because so many people have the TV's in their
bedrooms. What happens? Grab the chips and soda. Sandwich and beer. Whatever it is, late at night is probably the WORST time to eat. Hard on the heart and other systems.
No calories get burned, and so many people end up keeping the antacid companies in business.
I got rid of the TV in my bedroom years ago. I actually do not watch TV except for a movie on DVD now and then. If I eat while I watch, it is usually my dinner that I would eat anyway. Mostly, I eat at a dining table with no television.
When I watch the movie, I am usually doing something with my hands, like origami, drawing, or writing. I have found that this not only keeps my eyes occupied (the movie),
but also my hands so that I don't want to keep putting things in my mouth.
