Today while watching CNN they did a special report on how smokers who quit have a higher rate of obesity and diabetes. I wasn't surprised since the tobacco industry also owns one of the major food produces. Philip Morris who also owns Kraft foods.
The recommendation to people who quit smoking was to get on a Low Carb diet. That means no more easy foods like mac and cheese from a box.
When I quit smoking my weight went from 128 to 180. Talk about an ego deflater. My whole life changed it affected my social life my work and relationships. My life became a roller-coaster of one diet after another.
After ten years of diet after diet I was able to get my weight under control with no cigarettes.
