Default Should i be worried my girlfriend told me she has a "depression decease"?

ok im really really letting this bug me to bad, i know i don't know any of you but ill tell you whats been going on because i need some advice ASAP .
i went to her house and we got all cuddled up on her couch holding hands and laying our heads on each other, just loving each other.
right before i left i kissed her for the first time before i left(she's been telling me before and after i kissed her) and telling each other we loved each other. just today 04/30/09 she asked me if she had told me about her "decease" i said no. she said her doctor said she suffers from a type a depression. she never acts depressed when im with her.

she told me she loves me so much, and i told her i loved her too.
she told me about her "decease" and how she can't control it( i don't know what she's talking about "can't control it" some one feel me in, is there something i need to know about random depression like outbursts?). and said whenever im with her it completely goes away, don't get me wrong i felt good that i make her happy. but should i really be worried about this? or should i just keep loving her back and forget about it? i need advice/help. thanks

give her ur attention, dont be worried if she is suffering from any kind of depression. u might help her recover from this disease. depression is not a disease that sticks with u throughout ur life..eventually it goes away provided it is treated well. i beleive u should give her ur love, be with her. she'll be fine. dont worry

    She could be bipolar.

That means that she has dramatic mood swings, from ecstasy to severe depression.

google it, it is very interesting and there are many different types.

    Good luck

The fact that she told you about her depression shows that she trusts you and it's good that you make her happy. The only thing you can do is tell her you're always here for her and just care about her. If she has already gone to the doctor she may be already seeking therapy or on medication for it.

There are many types of depression from long term to symptoms that last just a few months. It's great that she feels better being around you. Relationships are about finding someone who increases feelings of self worth, can be a friend, and partner in tough situations. The only thing to worry about is her depending on you for her happiness or if she becomes abusive (emotionally or physically) when she is feeling extremely down.

As long as it's not dangerous, I think it's okay.
    Why don't you ask her?
There are so many kind of acts of depression. Some people finds hard to breath, some have dizziness etc.

Just keep loving her and you'd be the best cure for her.

depression is simply the clinical diagnosis doctors hand out nowadays to make people feel better about the fact that life sucks, and some people have problems accepting that. they say it can be controlled with medication so there's probably little to worry about as long as you can afford the meds. anyways, rest assured that with your frequent spelling and grammatical problems, it can be assumed that you are so young that by the time you have a girlfriend that is serious enough for you to ACTUALLY worry about this kind of thing, you will plenty understand what depression is all about.

Just be there for her the best you can. Stay with her because you genuinely love her but do not stay with her because you feel obligated to. Try to remain the same in the relationship if nothing has really changed (i.e. her behavior, the relationship) but help her the best you can by simply being there for her. I have the same condition as your gf but I 've learned to control it the best I can (naturally, no meds). It comes and goes but it is not too severe that I act differently. When I am around my bf, friends, and even by myself I am fine. It is not something that you need to be scared about. Do not go around and tell the whole world either. My bf told his some of his friends and I felt really betrayed that he would reveal something I told him in confidence. It's not something you want to tell the whole community about because people who do not understand have a bad misconception of depression.
