    Default Insulin Resistant and Diets

If someone is insulin resistant, how can they get energy to exercise. As I understand it that when they eat carbs the sugars are not taken into the cells which keeps people tired/fatigued/lethargic...

    Anyone dealing with this?

I don't know ayone who deals with this but in my understanding, insulin resistant individuals should should avoid refined carbohydrates and sugar and experts suggest tht high protein diet is best for them. Energy can be found in any food and they are expressed in form of calories.

According to diabetic expert, Dr. Bernstein (The Diabetes Solution), low carb, moderate protein and high fat is the best diet. Less than 30gm of carbs per day spread out 6-12-12 (breakfast, lunch, dinner), moderate protein based on the 1gm per kilo of current weight, and high fat (60%).
