Default Brown Rice May Reduce Diabetes Risk

A study by Harvard School of Public Health showed that eating five or more servings of white rice per week can increase risk of type 2 diabetes, while eating two or more servings of brown rice per week can lower the risk of the disease. This simple substitution could reduce your risk by 16%. If you replace other foods (bread, pasta, etc) with whole grain or whole wheat ones, you reduce your risk even more.

In asia, brown rice isn't that popular. I think more people eat white rice than brown ones. Even me. I haven't tried it. does it taste better?

I used to eat rice too but not brown. My mom used to mix white rice with brown rice and it tasted good.

Yes it does and brown rice is healthier than white rice. You'll eventually get used to brown rice if you switch to it.
