    Default Why do certain people use fad diets to help loose weight?

    when good exercise and eating Healthy foods that mother nature created (Fruits and Veggies)are known to help loose pounds. I think that people who are struggling with their weight should consider loosing weight the right way instead of falling for fad diets like for example an all pizza diet.     i think people fall for it because

    1. they want instant gratification
    2. they want to cut corners
    3. they dont want to do it the hard way

    many people feel that there is a short cut to losing weight.

    I agree. Fad diets offers fast weight loss results without dieting or exercise. Losing weight is hardwork and not everybody is willing to put the effort or doesn't have the time to do it.

    I second that regboi45. Fad diets are very appealing but they only offer temporary weight loss. Plus, they are expensive and sometimes have negative effects to the body. Exercise and diet is the best way to do it.

    That's true. There is no such thing as shortcuts when it comes to weight loss. Fad diets are mostly unsafe. They might cause more harm than good.

    For me, if diets offer these promises, I consider them as fad diets.

    1. diets that claim to help you lose more than 2 pounds a week
    2. does not recommend exercise

    Exercise and diet are essential to permanent weight loss. Two pounds is an acceptable weight loss by experts. If it's more than that, you probably be losing water weight or muscles instead of fat.

    These fad diets are different from ideal diet and it should be noted that they aren't balanced.Best way to lose any weight is with a careful well balanced diet.

    I totally agree with you dame.42jdt. Regular exercise and a healthy diet are the best and safest way to lose weight.
