    Default Diet Motivation

Here are some tips to keep you on track with your diet:

    1. Go Slow - You have better chances of losing weight if you do it slowly. Fast weight loss could lead to failure in the end. If you cut your calorie intake to at least 200 calories a day, you will lose weight without realizing it and better chances of keeping it off.

    2. Expect Setback - We all give in to temptation from time to time but don't use it as an excuse to binge. Just because you ate one cookie, it doesn't mean you should eat the entire bag.

    3. Get a diet buddy - it's great to find people with similar goals since you could support each other to continue especially when your willpower is down.

    4. Avoid weight loss plateau - when you've reached the weight loss plateau, your body has fully adapted to your diet and workout, thus, your progress will slow down and eventually stop. In order to avoid this, make sure you change some part of your diet program every 4-6 weeks.

    5. Reward Yourself - Diet is hard work so it's good that you reward yourself once in a while to celebrate your diet success. Don't reward yourself with food. Instead, get a massage or go shopping for new clothes.

I reached weight loss plateau before and it was really frustrating. I thought I was doing something wrong but I realized that my diet was always the same. Now, I tend to increase my calorie intake once a week and lower it again next day. It kept my metabolism going and I continue to lose weight.

Good tips especially number 1. It's always best to go slow in your weight loss goal. You can cut 200 calories for starters and increase it to 300 to 500 right after. Having a diet buddy is highly recommended since you can share your workout and diet plans and you can keep supporting each other until you all reach your goal.

Dieting requires patience so it's best to give yourself enough time to see the results. Some people weigh themselves after a week to check their progress and gets frustrated if they haven't lost weight. It usually take a month to see significant changes so don't worry. Just be patient and enjoy your weight loss journey.

Good point sasa. It's understandable why people wanted to see the results for their diet right away but it's true that significant changes happens after a month or two. As long as they eat right and are consistent their with exercise, they will definitely lose weight.

I didn't do it before but I make sure to reward myself now. For instance, if there's something I really want to get, I would promise myself to buy them if I lost X amount of weight in X amount of time. Tip number 5 is highly recommended.
