A US survey revealed that almost 63% of people are unaware of how many calories they consume everyday and only 12% had an accurate idea of their calorie needs. This would explain the rising number of overweight and obese people around the world.
In order to lose weight, people should eat at least 500 calories less than their calorie limit. An average person has a calorie limit of 2000 per day so eating 500 calories less of that would result to weight loss. Aside from that, it is also important to change your lifestyle and start having a well balanced diet.
