I read an article from MedIndia and I find it very useful. These tips aren't new and you probably heard it many times before. But I will share it anyway:
Eating low calorie fruits like apples and banana can help you shed pounds. This is according to the article from MedIndia titled "Tricking the Brain into Feeling Full". Here's a quote from the article:
According to studies, when being distracted (sitting in front of computer, watching TV or eating with friends, we eat 70% more than usual. In times like this, it best to eat more fruits and vegetables to help us feel satiated.Food items such as apples contain a high percentage of air and when digested in the stomach, produces a hormone known as GLP-1. This hormone sends a satiety signal to the brain which means that your stomach is satisfied even when the amount eaten is less than what you normally eat.
