Default Water and Weight Loss - by the numbers

It is necessary to drink water as we are made up mostly
of it. There are two (2) things about water that can help
    a person lose weight.

First, if a person drinks 16 oz. of COLD water each day,
the body will burn calories raising the water to body temperature.
This amounts to only about 2 pounds less a year. Still it's not too
bad for just drinking water which we need anyway.

Now, if you substitute water for that, let's say, soft drink (about 150 calories)
each day, then you will have saved yourself almost 55,000 calories or
about 18 pounds on your frame. That is the good news, the bad news is
that you still have to watch what goes into your mouth.

It has been mentioned a lot in the forum that water helps in losing weight. We lose weight when we drink plenty of water because the body doesn't need to hold the water in too long anymore as we give it enough supply. It cleanses the body of the toxins and harmful waste so as much as I do not like drinking water too much, I have to take it because my body needs it!

I'm just glad that I have no issues drinking water at all. I'd prefer drinking water than having a soda and that has helped me so much in keeping me healthy. Add some apple slices, orange, lemon, or water melon slices in your water to give it more flavor. That will encourage you to drink more because it smells and tastes good

That's a great suggestion sasa. I haven't had any problems with drinking water too. I drink more than 8 glasses of water a day because I am very active so I need to rehydrate my body. Water therapy is also observed by my family so when we are sick of flu, colds, and cough, we mostly just drink plenty of water and we get better

Good for you both . Thanks for the tips sasa, I really appreciate it. I have been using lemon add a little more flavor to my water to help me drink more but I think watermelon and apple will taste better. I'll try that today and let you all know how it goes

Good stuff, one thing I like to do is drink a glass of water while I prepare a meal, which is followed up with another glass while I eat. This really does wonders for reducing the meal size in which I consume.
