    Default Negative Calorie Foods

    Do you know that there are foods that uses more calories to digest and burn than what it normally contains? It's one of the best way to loss weight the healthy way . Isn't that a good thing to hear? Calories from these foods are more difficult for our body to use as it has to work hard in order to extract calories from these foods. A good example is a 5 calorie raw piece of celery will require much more calories to chew and digest, so resulting in a net loss of calories from our body fat. It implies that the more you eat, the more you lose weight

    Some of these foods are:

    Asparagus
    Broccoli
    Cauliflower
    Celery
    Hot Chili
    Cucumber
    Garlic
    Lettuce
    Onion
    Radish
    Apple
    Blueberries
    Cantaloupe
    Cranberry
    Lemon/Lime
    Mango
    Orange
    Peach
    Pineapple
    Raspberry
    Strawberry
    Watermelon

    I'm very unsure about some of the fruits you mentioned here. Apples, oranges and practically all foods contain simple carbohydrates with a lot of calories. Simple carbohydrates are digested very quick. The rest is water. Maybe you are right for brocolli and other vegetables.

    If what you say it is true, then I can eat all the day and at the end to still be on 0 calories ? According to Calorie calculator - How many calories should i eat a day my body burns 2600 calories a day for daily vital activity, so if I eat only what you said then I should lose 5-6 lbs a week.

    Are they the same if they are boiled ? I'm still unsure about the fruits.

    A pound of fat is about 3500 calories. If you want to lose a pound, you must create a deficit of 3500 calories.

    Wow! Thanks for this info Mikaela! I'm really surprised about mangoes and pineapple as I love them but always hear negativity in relating them to diets.

    wow!! thanks for this list!! i always felt guilty eating mangos (they are my favorite!) but i was always told they were FULL of sugars. i should print this list out and keep it around with me so that i can always choose the best ones when i am out!

    Grapefruit is another negative calorie food I think. In the 80s there used to be a diet that revolved around it. Some celebrities have grapefruit juice before they eat because it's suppose to reduce their appetite. I've introduced it into my eating plan over the last few weeks and try to have it in my juice every morning. I like pink grapefruit but I have the red and the white ones as well.

    I came along a very good diet website that really helped me. It contains delicious healthy low fat diet meals, home remedies and fitness videos to help lose weight. They also update their blog often which contains diet secrets like recently they have a meal plan for a 3 day diet!

    You can easily lose 2 pounds per week.....
