Thread: Anyone else tried Dr. Berstein diet?

    if i start the bernstein diet in the beginning of march and i weigh 200 how long will it take me to get to 120?

    Just started the diet last week and have already lost 7.2 lbs. Feeling okay, a little hungry before meals but most reccently a little dizzy. The LPN uped my potassium so hopefully this helps. Otherwise, the diet is good. Just requires a lot of planning and organizing. I'm also 80% vegetarian so it makes it a little extra hard with the fish and tofu products. Totally easy for me to eat 1 lb of veggies per day though. What's hard for me now are the things that got me here... I'm missing pizza friday, wine, eating out... french fries, ice cream on and on. You folks know what I'm talking about.

    Very impressive cooper. I'm trying to increase vegetables in my diet but I still eat meat once in a while. I miss my favorite foods too especially peanut butter. I've completely cut it out from my diet because for some reason, once I eat peanut butter, I tend to finish at least half of the bottle

    I can relate to this. I miss those too but I have to keep in mind that eating those foods would ruin all the hardwork I put into losing weight.

    Sasanqua - your pb is my vino I'm afraid, especially on a warm summer night. but can't think that way. That's what got me into trouble in the first place. No urine test on Friday whoot! I'm a fat burning machine.

    I'd say you'll loose 10-15 (or more) per month. Roughly

    You could lose 10-15 (or more) per month on this diet? I didn't know that.. Thanks for the info cooper.

    Well, I went to the clinic to start the program a week ago Tuesday and started that evening. So its been a week and a day, I guess... And I've lost 7.2 pounds. Starting wieght 199, may as well say 200. My ave weight is 180 (and that's about 20lbs over). Once the scale started creeping up and up I knew I needed to do something. The Clinic for me is just a way of staying accountable. My husband won't say no, don't eat that icecream! LOL!
    I go in each M, W + F... Let you know how I do tomorrow but right now I'm prett happy with the plan.

    Dizzy feel is gone. Must be the extra potassium. I had organic, free range chicken for breakfast. So wierd!!! I feel stuffed right now tho.
