You can experiment on the fad diets but it's best to go on a plan that will work for you best. You can create your own diet plan based on your daily calorie needs. Dieting is long term so it's best that you enter a diet program that you can live with.
Hi anna, Please can you let me know how you're getting on with key2weight. I am an ex lighter life member, which worked fantastically...... to cut a long story short, i lost my nephew last august and have not stopped binge eating since. I seriously need to fix this as I am so uncomfortable and ashamed, not to mention worried I will die! Anyway I am now in possession of my first Key2Weight starter Pack and it would be great to talk to someone using the same stuff!

hi
I'm doing pretty well with Key2weight, how about you? I've lost just over 2 stone and i've now switched to the family balance programme so I'm eating a no carb evening meal, I'm finding it very do-able. I think the packs taste pretty good in comparison to the Cambridge! Let me know how you are finding it, or have you given up?
Wow! Good job! How much more weight do you need to lose? I think you're in the right track. Goodluck!
i just want to say that with anything in life, success starts from the mind. (It's all about mindset) Most people do struggle to reach their goals, usually for giving up. I found a book on "how to create long term weight loss through, changing thought patterns and internal beliefs" this is an really good book that teaches how to reprogram your mind in to achieving your goals in whatever you wish.

That's interesting rharris. What kind of book is that? Could you give us the title?
I've lost 45 lbs. since April 25 and this is how I did it:
Gave up all soft drinks, even no calorie drinks; I only drink water as a cold drink.
Hardly ever eat potatoes, rice or pasta. Only bread is a bagel thin (110 calories) for breakfast. With a pat of butter and a T of jam, plus coffee with Half n Half, my breakfast is 250 calories and its the same every day.
Usually do not eat lunch but right now there are tomatoes in the garden so I pick them eat them when I'm outside. Occasionally have a sandwich of Deli Thin (110 cal) and 6 slices of Hillshire farms packaged ham or turkey and mustard; totals under 200 cal.
Dinner is 4 - 5 oz meat, poultry or fish for a total of 250 cal. plus salad with low cal dressing and lots of vegetables, all I want, broccoli, asparagus, onions, mushrooms, zucchini, cucumber, brussel sprouts, eggplant, tomatoes, peppers (cook them in oven by spraying with spray olive oil, roast until soft).
Dinner is done and I still haven't hit 1000 calories. I have wrapped biscotti (110 cal) and coffee with half n half for dessert and still have some calories left to have a dish of sorbet later. I love CIAO BELLA blood orange and its the lowest calorie, 60 per serving (4 servings in container) so I can have a nice big serving.
I'm in the 1200 - 1400 calorie range; I keep busy with gardening, work around the house, 15 minutes a day on the elliptical trainer in my basement, cleaning out the basement (a big project).
Basically what has helped me is eating the same things all the time so food is not that exciting but I do enjoy it, getting rid of potatoes, rice, pasta and finding a satisfying low calorie satisfaction for my dessert craving after dinner.
