Default Countries with the Healthiest Diet

Understanding what is healthy to eat seems to be a maze of obstacles in our modern world of processed and enriched food. You have to check the nutritional value of every product you buy at the grocery store, know how to prepare them, even be cautious on what is the "in" food. There is a tug-o-war on what food is good for you and what is not. Such as carbs–one day they are proclaimed unhealthy then the next day you hear news that it's a necessity for your body.

I say let's stop this food mumble jumble and go back to the basics. Let's look back at the diets of our ancestors when obesity, cancer, and heart problems were not considered as a "trend". The traditional dishes of our ancestors were based from whole foods prepared in simple healthy ways. If we return to the old practices of eating, we'll be feeding our body the dosage of nutrients and minerals which can drastically help lead a healthier life.

I read the article and it's a good one. I have always admired Japan not only of their cultures but also of their lifestyle choices. I love Japanese foods. They are healthy and mostly low in fat.

Wow! Japan has the highest stress level yet they also have the highest life expentancies and low obesity rates. That simply means health is one of their priorities and eating and living healthy has become a common practice.

Me too.. I'm fascinated with Japan's culture and I love Japanese cuisine. Japan is a symbol of discipline and I admire them for that. Mediterranean countries are also have the healthiest diet as mentioned in the article and France has the lowest heart disease rate. They are considered the countries with the healthiest diet because their meals are prepared using fresh foods and dine in small portions. It's very admirable.

These countries are good examples to follow. Health is very important to them and healthy food and lifestyle choices has become their second nature. It would be great if everybody would start thinking the same way, where healthy living is no longer a second choice.
