It was said that calcium helps people lose weight. If thee body doesn't get enough calcium, it triggers cells to store fat.

The Ice Cream Diet book provides a complete plan and the calorie intake is 1,500 calories for women and 2,000 for men.The daily menus include 1 cup of ice cream for women and 1 1/2 cups of ice cream for men.

Ice cream! wow! I haven't had those in two years. 1 cup a day for women? Does the ice cream have to be low in fat or is there a product they recommended dieters should buy?

Hmmm..Does this diet work? I get that calcium helps you lose weight but why get them from ice cream? Why not just take calcium supplements in whatever diet you are in now?

Kathy, dieters are advised to use reduced fat ice cream but they can still opt not to. They can choose any brand they like.

Sasa, there are noiany scientific evidence of weight loss yet. There are no testimonials or websites supporting this diet either so it's still a little questionable. The purpose of desining this diet is probably to satisfy the cravings for ice cream since most diet restrict users from eathing them.

Ice cream diet huh? That's very interesting. The lack of evidence is a bit of a turn off though. it's too risky to try this diet. I agree with sasa, add calcium supplements in your diet instead since calcium has been proven to help you lose weight anyway, not ice cream.

I totally agree. Although I have to admit that I was very interested in this diet because of the inclusion of ice cream in their meal plan. But since there are no actual reports that it works, I changed my mind.

You can always eat ice cream regardless of what plan you are on. Just be sure not to include it in your meal everyday. Once a week should be fine. You don't want it to ruin your diet.

I count calories in my diet and as long as I don't go over my limit, I should be fine. I haven't eaten ice cream in years though. I still chose to eat healthy even if my diet allows me to to eat anything I want.

Is the icecream can be used for dieting, it should be called diet ice cream, just like diet coke.

That's because we like ice cream. Calcium supplements are boring
