    Default 3 Day Diet

The 3 Day Diet is a low calorie diet (about 1000 a day) and if users follows the portion as instructed, they could lose up to 10 pounds. It focuses on mixing types of foods that create a metabolic reaction that helps boost metabolism and help burn fat. It's also said to help cleanse the body and lower cholesterol level. This diet last for 3 days and can be repeated after 4-5 days off. The plan doesn't mention any form of exercise.

The 3 Day Diet is considered a fad diet and although users could lose weight, it will most likely be fluid loss instead of fat loss. Once users go back to their normal diet, they are likely to gain back the water weight they've lost.

1,000 a day? That's way too low. 10 pounds in 3 days? even if the diet is only 1000 calories, I don't think that's achievable.

It might be possible to lose 10 pounds in 3 days but most of it could be water weight. Another things, the book does not have any explanation on how this diet's food combinations help burn fat, cleanse the body, increase energy, or lower cholesterol.

If there are no evidence that their food combinations actually cause metabolic reactions, it's safe to say that dieters lose weight because their diet is very low in calories. No exercise recommendations? It's definitely a fad diet.

I believe so so. I don't think it's safe. 10 pounds in 3 days is way too fast. I mean 1 pound is equal to 3500 calories right? If their limit is 1000, that's a deficit of 2500 calories. in 3 days, that's 7500 calorie deficit which is equal to about 2 pounds.

You have a point sasa. This diet does lack evidence and information. It's best not to consider this one at all. There are a lot of better programs out there.

I agree. But I have to admit that it's very appealing. 10 pounds in three days? It took me over three month to lose that much.

It's slow but you kept it off permanently. That's the best way to lose weight. Fast weight loss diets only offers temporary solution.

That's true. I won't mind if it takes me more than a year to reach my goal weight as long as I don't gain back the pounds I lost.

It's pointless to go on a diet if it's only temporary. Health should not be taken lightly so everyone should know how to choose the best diet that is good for them. It's always best to ask your doctor's advice before you try any diets.
