    You are absolutely right. Dieting alone isn't enough to lose weight successfully if you still consume fatty, processed, sodium, sugar, and preservative rich foods. I have to avoid all of these to help me lose 35lbs and be happy with it. Everything has to be taken in moderation for the diet to be successful. I wasn't quite happy of my body until I started exercising. Spending money on fad diets and pills are a waste of you don't control the food you eat.

    Cutting your portions can only do as much if you don't exercise. Avoiding sugary foods will definitely have a significant impact in weight loss. I have cut back on my sweets and it has helped me trim down a lot. Now I still eat chocolates but I go for dark because it contains less sugar.

    My cousin wanted a short cut to weight loss because his cholesterol was high as well as his blood sugar and uric acid. He used diet pills for faster results but he didn't notice any significant effects at all. He only started losing weight when he cut his carbohydrate consumption in half, added more vegetables in his diet, started eating lean meat, and exercised everyday for 15 minutes.

    I have nothing against HCG but I have heard a few bad testimonials about it. A dieter is required to consume about 500 calories a day, accompanied with the advocation of oral hCG drops or intravenous hCG shots for weight loss. This isn't enough calories for normal functioning of the metabolic processes and could cause cravings for foods, lightheadedness, weakness and irritation. I think before anyone do this, they consult with their doctors first for safety.
