Thread: The Diet Robot

I read an article that a diet robot, Autom is set to launch in early 2011. Autom is a 15-inch, mechanical buddy, that will help dieters count calories, monitor food intake, monitor exercise and provide progress reports.

Autom is designed to be a weight loss tool and is expected to cost around $500. There is also a monthly fee for back-end services such as monitoring and medical advice.

I don't know if this will really help dieters but it might be a good idea to help you stay on track with your diet.

Would you buy Autom?

Users can talk with the 15-inch-tall Autom and, by using its LCD touch screen, indicate what they've had to eat and how long they've exercised on a given day. The machine, which is linked to the Internet, is designed to automatically keep track of calories and weight loss progress. It also tries to look cute by batting its eyelashes.

This is interesting.. It's expensive though.. With monthly fee? Even more expensive. I'll wait for the reviews.

It is expensive but there are other people who spent so much more on products that doesn't even work. This might be good for them. Thank for adding more info viktoria..
