more less you eat
the more weight you will eventually put on trust me i no.
after a while you will start to crave food as your body needs more nutrients inside you. depends how long you are willingly going to do this; week, a month, year or even more.
there is two ways
1. you finally loose weight. and you body will turn into starvation mode and start storing fat because it thinks that there is no fat on it. therefore you eventually put the weight back on.
2. or you can become anorexic and die of no food.
its your choice, you should include how long your keeping this up for week you probably loose more than the beginning and towards the end it will get harder.
for a week probably 2 pounds
so do the math
=[ i think you shouldn't do it.
My cousin used to work for some government dept and in his studies he was saying that you actually use more energy when you eat celery than what you get out of it, so in actual fact(if he is correct) you would be better off not touching the stuff and just drink water and eat "PROPER" food. My sister had a go at all the "fad" diets in the late 70's such as eating lettuce for a week, cheese for a week, celery for a week etc etc and stayed as big as a house until about two years ago when she actually gave a doctor a hand full of money went on a regimented diet which didn't include exercise and lost around 60kg!! She has stopped doing it now, has put a bit of weight back on(she was too skinny) and is a lot better off. Good luck with whatever you decide. Andrew
You can eat a lot of celery as long as you eat another food. You still need fruits and vegetable, some carbs and some protein. And also milk for the calcium
Food should be enjoyed.
As long as you enjoy eating celery and water, then go for it.
If your celery diet doesnt work, maybe you could try a different diet plan.
I've found out that eating the right food at the right time can actually help you lose more weight.
oh, and you may want to try taking vitamins with your celery diet.
i read from a different thread that they have vitamins on gum now.
Try the St.john's Hospital 3 day diet if you're that desprate. you lose about 10 lbs in 3 days and keep it off. you can look it up online, or get in touch with me and I'll e-mail it to you. The celery and water diet would be okay for a couple of days to shed the excess water weight and kick start your diet, but I wouldn't reccomend sticking solely to that diet. I'm a recovered bulimic and it was slippery diets like that which opened the danger door to eatind disorders for me. Be safe, be healthy and be happy!
Only celery and water? I would say you can expect to lose a lot of weight on the first month but after that, you might gain it all back. Your metabolism will slow down and you will eventually crave for food. Go for a healthier diet and combined it with exercise.
