Unhappy This part of me is really making me sad.

    I'm not a fat person.
    I'm 5"6, about 130 lbs.
But I seem to pack on the pounds only in a certain section.

My waist is fine, but anything below that, all the way to just below my butt is noticably out of perportion.

I've tried all sorts of crunches, and got nothing.
It seems this area is getting larger and larger while my legs and upper body stay the same.

Are there any basic excersizes that can help me there?

    erm hi Alicia.....

You can actually do sqwats to help with your bum.....and added weights to increase the resistence when you find that they become to easy...and just increase the weight when those too become to easy.

I also find that step areobics to be a fun way of training in those problem areas also.....leg raises with ankle weights to target outer and inner thighs....bum raises to targets the glutes!

You may also like to try The reverse crunch...leg raises and even Kick boxing.....any kind of leg raises tighten the lower stomach area.

You can try these exercises to help you shape it up:

    1. Squat (exercises for hips, thigh and butt)
    2. Lunges
    3. Step Ups
    4. Hip Extensions
    5. One-legged Deadlift

Other exercises help too such as hiking, biking, walking and running. You can also try using an exercise ball and do butt tightening exercises.

I do squating and biking and it works for me so far. perhaps you could try them as well. Also, I would advise that you cut down on sweet and carbs (choose whole wheats/whole grains instead). Calories from these foods, if not burned, goes straight to that section.
