Default Tips to help you start regular exercise

    • Choose something you like to do.
    • Get a partner. Exercising with someone else can make it more fun.
    • Vary your routine. You may be less likely to get bored or injured if you change your routine.
    • Choose a comfortable time of day. Don't work out too soon after eating or when it's too hot or cold outside. Wait until later in the day if you're too stiff in the morning.
    • Don't get discouraged. It can take weeks or months before you notice some of the changes from exercise.
    • Forget "no pain, no gain." While a little soreness is normal after you first start exercising, pain isn't. Stop if you hurt.
    • Make exercise fun. Read, listen to music or watch TV while riding a stationary bicycle, for example. Find fun things to do, like taking a walk through the zoo. Go dancing. Learn how to play tennis.

That's right. In exercising like dancing or playing a sport, it's best if you have a partner to do that because you will hardly notice the time you spend getting active. So you do not only enjoy but you lose weight and stay healthy

I play tennis with my sister all the time and you're right sasa, you hardly notice the time when you are having fun. I just used the calculator to check how much calories I am burning every time I play tennis for an hour, and I'm shocked to know that I am losing 402 calories for playing one hour of tennis. This is amazing! I'm going to enjoy playing tennis this time

Wow that's great to hear! So I have to add this on my tips then. Knowing how much calories you burn when exercising is motivating and will make you want to spend more time with it

Right! I will definitely spend an hour more playing tennis after indulging in a tasty pizza . I already do this before, exercising after eating a sumptuous meal, but I was not aware how much calories I am losing. Now that I know how to calculate, I'm more excited to spend more hours playing with my sister

Good point viktoria! This time there is no need for me to feel guilty eating more chocolates because I know I can burn them at some point. If I spend 2 hours dancing, I will be burning 501 calories! It's really shocking because this is just new to me. I eat right and I know that a balanced diet is what we need to stay healthy but I didn't know how healthier I will be amd the amount of calories I will be burning while exercising. This will be fun...

It's really good to know how much exercise can do to our body. We do not only lose weight but we also stay healthy. Listening to music while walking around really does help me walk farther. It also keeps me company and makes me enjoy walking even if I am alone. I should say that people also get a good feeling when they walk or jog with ipod as company.

Having a company when exercising will make the exercise more fun and interesting. You don't get bored, you don't notice the time, and you have support to keep exercising to achieve your goal.
