    1. Peace or calm is vital to assist you to prevent overeating. It is well documented that overeating phenomenon is usually tied to factors like stress, pressure or noise. Great advice! I absolutely believe that if you have a calm mind you don't overeat. I also agree that strong smell does also avoid one not to overeat because I do feel full faster when the aroma of the food I am eating is very strong

In reference to #1, learning to be calm is essential to being in control. Being in control is what helps a person not overeat. I have also heard that sleep in an essential ingredient to weight control. If you are tired, it is actually more difficult to be calm, you are more likely to make bad decisions.

#5 is kind of a "No Brainer" as many of these so-called diets will help you lose weight, but they are not healthy enough to stay on long-term. Even the Atkins people do not recommend a long-term commitment to their diet. If you can't find a healthy diet that you can stay on as a lifestyle (there are many good ones), then why begin something that is essentially unhealthy?

welcome back fhp, and yes most diets, if you read there bottom line it says, "ALONG WITH EXERCIES"
IF ppl just ate correctly and did a little exercise, then this multi billion dollar industry would fold, like it should have yrs ago.

Great advices and I agree with everything. Strong aroma from food really make me eat less. I can only eat a few and I am good to go. When I am stressed I overeat because that's where I feel comfort. But when I am feeling good and calm especially after exercise, I prefer to eat healthy and small portions.
