Default Can doing simple excercises (push ups, crunches) throughout the day help me lose

weight and gain muscle? I also work out at the gym everyday. Cardio everyday. Wieghts every other day. But some days I have time around the house to do a few push ups every hour or so as well as crunches. However, when I work these muscles, to exaustion, using wieghts, I won't do the pushups or crunches for 48 hours afterward.
