Hi,
Is the flat belly diet a unique system or just a general term for a diet plan that focuses on keeping the belly flat? I would be very interested in here some members input on this.
Thanks!!

Flat Belly Diet is a diet program which targets losing belly fats first. meal plans are set to 1600 calories a day and every meal should have monosaturated fatty acids. The programs also recommends optional 25 minute exercises like brisk walking or strength training.
"optional" exercises? Does that mean you can opt to not exercise? I don't believe you can achieve flat belly without any form of exercise. If you did lose all those belly fats, you need to at least tone your body or your skin will just sag.
That's true. It is encouraged that users of this diet will do the exercise workout as indicated on the program such as cardio exercises and full body resistance training.
I agree. I've read that at the back of the book, it says, "not a single crunch required" to flatten your belly. I don't really believe it though. Users might indeed lose some inches but their belly will not flatten without some form of exercise. It will probably shrink but the skin might loosen a bit if they've not made an effort to work on their stomach muscles.
About the meal plan..any suggestion?
I'm sorry, I haven't heard this before. But I'm really interested with flat belly diet.
I saw some diet plans on prevention.com and I think they have really good variety of foods to choose from and will not make you feel deprived. One example I saw is:
Breakfast
Banana Split Oatmeal
Lunch
Mediterranean Sandwich
Dinner
Ricotta Calzone
Snack
1 stick low-fat string cheese, 1 pineapple fruit cup in syrup, 1 cup baby carrots, and 2 Tbsp Sunflower Seeds
I think this is really good and will not make me feel like I'm dieting at all![]()
the flat belly diet suggests that you eat regular small meals instead of one big one. This boosts the metabolism and helps you to lose fat. Although it doesn't suggest that you do any extra exercise, you do need to do some regular cardiovascular exercise such as walking, jogging or swimming if you want to flatten those abs.
The diet alleges to hone in on belly fat. There’s a reason for this and it’s called marketing. Everyone would love to lose some belly fat and recent evidence has shown the unhealthy effects of excess belly fat.
