Default nutrition question?

I know the body isn't 100% efficient at absorbing nutrients from food and some are wasted but is it the same for fat? or is all the fat from something used as energy and stored? cheers

actually you would amazed at how efficient the body is at absorbing nutrients from your food. almost 98-99% of what you eat is used one way or another by the body. and as for fat, our best friend, yes you may have guessed it, is either stored (if you are a couch potato) or used if you are active. Fat storage or fat burning is dependant upon one thing, which is your activity level. if you have a hearty meal(a steak for example) and you come home and take a nap, well your body is going to store the fat. but if you workout later that day most of what you ate will be burned.
