Default Healthful foods with high caloric content

I hope that you want to not just gain weight, but to do so in a healthful manner.

If this is the case, there are much better foods to eat than chocolate, ice cream, etc.

For instance: Avocados are a healthful food that is high in monosaturated fat, which experts say aids in lowering the risk of heart disease. One cup of ripe avocado has about 237 calories. This fruit is also rich in potassium and has a good amount of vitamin C, vitamin K and folate.

Nuts are also a great food choice, because they contain lots of vitamins and minerals. This food is also high in monosaturated fat. For example, walnuts are high in omega 3 fats, and almonds contain both vitamin E and calcium. Plus, nuts are really filling because of their high protein and fiber content.

You can also have natural nut butters (almond, peanut, cashew, etc.) with crackers as a healthful snack between meals.

Dried fruits can also be a good snack, but these can be really high in natural sugars.

Hope this helps.
