    Default Avocado Anti-Aging Properties

I am a big fan of avocado ever since I was little. My aunt used to make avocado sandwiches and they are just tasty. She mashes the avocado and adds salt and pepper on it and use it as sandwich spread. I really really like it . Some people avoid avocado because they say it is rich in cholesterol. What they do not know is that avocado is rich in Oleic Acid that is a healthy fat that can be used to lower bad cholesterol while increasing good cholesterol in our body. A cup of avocado contains about 25% of our daily potassium needs. Potassium helps protect our heart and arteries that could reduce the risk of high blood pressure and stroke.

I love avocados on my salad as they are very tasty and healthy too. However know that a cup of avocados has about 235 calories. I just want everyone to know that even if it is rich in many nutrients, it is also rich in calories so always eat them in moderation

Thanks for the info mikaela and kathy! It's great to know that good benefits of avocado and the calorie count so we may be reminded to never over eat them. Sometimes we think that it's safe to overeat fruits so we eat a lot, not knowing that it is also packed with calories that maybe too much for our body and can hurt our diet.

I definitely agree with you sasa. It's really good to know that avocados are rich in anti-aging properties but it is also important to know how much calories are in avocados so we only consume the recommended serving.

I should also say that avocados are also rich in folate that is a great micronutrient. A cup of avodado contains around 23% of out daily folate needs. And why is this important? Because people who get the recommended amout of folate reduces the risk of heart attack by as much as 55%. That alone is enough to tell us that avocados are good for the health.
Avocados are a rich source of antioxidants that helps our body from free radicals that causes damage to our organs and tissues. So it is no doubt that avocados really help fight aging.

These are great information that I am sure everyone will love too. Thanks for providing us all these benefits from avocado. I will definitely add enough avocados on my salad from now on . I just want to say that avocados are also great for the skin and hair. I use avocado mask on my face and it makes my skin softer and healthier. I also make hair packs from avocados and it reduces dryness and makes my hair more manageable!

That is right... what is good inside the body is also good outside. Many are now switching from chemical based cosmetics to natural. With the current goal of staying healthy is also the increase in demand of mineral and organic cosmetic products. So all these vitamin rich foods we eat are also good for the skin to keep it more glowing and looking young

You are absolutely correct on that mikaela. I also enjoy the goodness of fruits and vegetables on my skin. Tomatoes for example also make a good facial mask. We all want clear and healthy skin aside from staying fit, and all the healthy foods that we take in our body are the most effective foods for the skin too

Organic ingredients has long been used for maintaining beautiful skin and healthy hair. My favorite cosmetic brand The Body Shop uses organic products on their cosmetics and they are very effective. They have been into organic even before this mineral and organic fad started. I have tried so many of their products and they really take good care of my skin. What I am trying to say is that, using organic and natural product is very effective on the body and the skin, so we can never go wrong with eating healthy foods instead of junk or processed foods.
