Drinking water helps a lot. It takes a long time to get rid of those cravings, if you give in just a little it will make it that much harder. Try getting some sugar-free fudgsicles or something.

First of all I have to say I love junk food to but its all about moderation and making small changes at first like mixing it up a little. That way u can still have the junk food but healthy as well. work ur way up slowly. Its about making a life style change and bad habits are hard to change, especially eating. Make a weekly meal calender with The main things like the protein, veggies, fruits, and lots of water. Fit in small portions of the junk food like a small snack or dessert. It may be hard at first but after a few months you'll look back and wont regret it. Ur body well feel different and appreciate in the long run!

When I work out I tend not to crave foods bad for me. For example, if you just rant three miles it Makes a plate of fettuccine Alfredo seem like it isn't worth the work.

I say don't cut them out completely. If you do you might end up binging on them. Enjoy them in moderation. Maybe once a week you could treat yourself with a small amount of one of your desires. Also try to get the reduced fat version, they sell so many good snacks in the 100 cal.packs now. Even all the good candy bars are in smaller 100 cal. portions. Try whole wheat pasta to get your pasta fix.
The craving won't go away, but if you make it a lifestyle change they will get easier to deal with. It's all how you decide to handle the cravings. If you deny yourself what you want when you do have it you will feel guilty. That will not help you eat healthier!!! Good Luck!!!

So you are in love with JUNK food. If you were in love with CRACK, would you find a way to stop? Pretend you were born 500 years ago and they didn't have junk food. Would you like to eat yourself to death with diabetes and high blood pressure? Do you think people excercise because it is pleasurable? No, they enjoy the reward but it is hard and painful for them. So enjoy and die early or work hard and live long and healthy.

As you eat less of these foods, your body will crave them less. However, you can find good, healthy substitutes. For example, whole grain (or whole wheat) pasta is high in fiber and vitamins. Baked potato chips are an OK alternative to potato chips. Pretzels are an even better choice, again, especially if you can find ones made with whole grain or whole wheat.

I know the feeling! Unfortunately, there is no way around going through that phase where you have to FORCE yourself not to eat the bad foods you are craving. You'll crave those foods, trust me, but in order to build the healthy habit, you have to go through that rough period.

Another way to encourage yourself to eat healthier is to find healthy foods that you like. If you are junk food addict, there are plenty of other options to satisfy your craving for something crunchy/salty/sweet. I am a snacker as well, and I buy the 90-100 calorie packs of popular snack foods like cheezit-s, oreos, all sorts of snack foods like that. If you surround yourself with these healthier options, you'll get used to it!

Another food you should try is Lean Cuisine. I know it doesn't always look that appetizing, but they have SO many different foods now such as fettuccine with real alfredo sauce, Asian style meals, pizza, all sorts of stuff and it actually tastes good, I swear. The trick is the controlled portions and the healthier ingredients.

Another thing you can try is beginning an exercise routine, if you have not already. You won't want to eat as much junk food in fear of reversing all that hard work you put in at the gym or whatnot.

These are just some tips that help me! If you want or need more details, I'm always down to help! I am always working to keep myself on track as well and learn new things all the time. The most important thing is for healthier eating to become part of your lifestyle. It won't stick unless you make that mental change as well.

    Okay, I'm done rambling!
