    Default Foods and Cholesterol

Cholesterol is made by the body and plays a vital role in our health. It is a component of every cell, and plays an important role in the production of vitamin D, as well as various sex hormones. The brain and nervous tissue also rely on cholesterol. The problem comes when we consume more than we need and we end up with high cholesterol, which leads to heart disease.

    • Beans and Legumes
    • Unsaturated Fats

I always incorporate oats in my diet because it helps lower bad cholesterol in our body for a healthy heart. Staying active and constantly exercising are as important too so we have to keep in mind that dieting is just not enough.

You're welcome kathy. I would also like to add lamb, beef kidney on the high cholesterol foods list. Just an added note, you can always cook/eat egg whites instead. Egg whites contains no cholesterol.
