Yeah definitely! Pregnant women should avoid carbonated drinks and just go with fruit and vegetable juices. I always told my friend that it's good to drink lemon juice during pregnancy because that's what I heard from my mom. She followed my advice and she gave birth to a very clean (blemish and dark spot free) baby

I agree wildman. We can burn the calories we get from diet soda faster than the regular drinks. Some diet drinks even have less than 10 calories so it's totally safe as long as you keep it in moderation. It maybe good for us but not for pregnant women at all because it is shared by the baby.

Diet soda should probably be avoided by anyone trying to live a healthy lifestyle. It is full of chemeicals that do not naturally occur in foods and cannot be properly processed by the body. Also, the body's natural response to the intake of 'sweet' foods and drink is to release insulin as part of the digestion of sugar. Continual stimulation of this system without actually taking in sugar may contribute to adult onset diabetes, according to some researchers.

My sister was advised by her doctor not to drink soda because the extra sugar is not good for pregnancy. I also read that artificially sweetened drinks is not good for someone who's pregnant because it could lead to premature birth of the baby. I think pregnant women should eat healthy during pregnancy to give nutrition to the baby
