Well thats about how much me and my boyfriend spent on groceries for every 2 weeks, for both of us! So 120 should work fine for you. Just go shopping for 2 weeks worth of food for you, which would be 60 bucks. Maybe right out a list of things like Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner. Thats what I do just to get an idea of what to buy, and how much to buy. I buy bananas, avocados, wheat bread, turkey, tuna, apples, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pita bread, hummus, pickles, chicken, SB meals, eggs, special k cereal, and half gallon of fat free milk. (just examples of foods to buy) Because apples can be snacks, so can bananas. Cereal for breakfast. sandwich for lunch with a pickle. Chicken for dinner, with pita bread and lettuce and tomatoes. YUM!

    trust me theres away.

and I shop at safeway with my safeway card!

How many mouths are you expected to feed? That is not a lot of money for a family but for an individual $120 will be tight but doable.

Avoid the pre-prepared food section. Those are usually cheap but totally unhealthy. Buy seasonal fruits and vegi's. Meat/Fish/Chicken should be purchased on sale and in bulk where possilble. Dont buy Bread or Deserts (there is another source).

Look in the phone book and find your local foodbank. This will be one of your best source to suppliment your pantry. They have tons of breads/sweets/ and canned food to help.
