Default Eating Healthy On Food Stamps!?

I only get about $120 of food stamps. How can I eat healthy on such a small amout and make it spread through out the month?

Check the newspapers and look for bargain prices you might have to go to 2 stores to get the best prices.
Anything non-processed is low in price, a small amount of lean red meats and tuna for iron, oatmeal and pasta for carbs, veggies, fruits, milk, cheese. Keep it balanced.. avoid bakery items, ramen(too much salt and not healthy ever), get tea or coffee they are both good for you despite the naysayers ( a box of tea can last you a month & so can a pound of coffee)

I'm not sure how stamps work, but one you need to find best prices. Stick to BASICS--these are fruits, vegetables and grains. NO products, no dairy, no meat, and NO COFFEE and tea. These are NOT foods.

30 a week. I think it can be done. Make slow cooked soups and stews. Think CAN, not CANNOT.

You CAN have cooked grains including oatmeal without milk as we are used to it. NOT good for you anyway.

Be creative. Maybe a local agency offers tips.

Unless you are diasbled and can not work then I suggest you go get a job like those of us who are paying for your foodstamps. This will help you with this small amount of money for food. Funny no one gives me any money for my families food and after we pay our normal bills oursleves like child care, gas to get to and from work, heat, water, phone we don;t have much left either for groceries. I then get to stand in line behind a food stamp recipient buying a bunch of food with the money I helped supply, while my family struggles to get by. Get a job! You think that is bad. You should see what we have to pay for our children and ourselves to go to the doctor and get medicine!

Fresh fruit and veg, eg, citrus, bananas, potatoes, beans.

Bread and bargain price chocolates or tinned pineapple/peaches for desserts

If you don't have enough money to buy food on your own, how do you find the money to pay for the internet and your computer?
