...costco brand but I am finding that I should be leary of comercilal brand dog food I this particular brand ok? is it free of the cancer causing agents that Im reading about

Dogs digestive system is designed to absorb nutrients from raw meat, they are carnivores. Cooked, commercial, processed food is only filler but not the true nutrients that their body needs, hence cancer and other diseases.

I wouldn't feed my dog that brand. You need a healthy, well respected name brand dog food.
If you ask a Vet they may try to sell you the food they carry in their clinic. Go online & do a search for the healthiest type of food.
Also, I never buy any food or treats made in another country.
