In calculating your Body Mass Index, which is the proportion of weight and height, know that:
- over 30 is considered obese.
- between 25 and 29.9 is considered overweight.
- between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered a healthy bmi.
- under 18.5 is considered underweight.
Why is this important? It is essential to know your body mass index to know if you need to shed off some pounds or if you need to put on some weight. For health reasons, we have to be aware of this for us to make all the necessary adjustments in our eating habits and diet.
