Calories are the source of our energy to run, walk, jump, skip and sleep. All of our necessary bodily functions are fueled by calories. However we should be able to know much calories we take in otherwise this will turn into more fat. We have to be sure that we do not go over or under our calorie needs, otherwise we'll end up overweight or underweight.
For calories and protein, they contain around 4 calories per gram, fats have 9 calories per gram, and alcohol have 7 calories per gram. Unless we use these stored fat by cutting on our daily calorie intake or exercising so we'll be able to burn more calories, this fat will remain stored in our body.
Learn how many you are taking in and how much you are burning. By the time you create a calorie deficit, that is when the calorie starts to shed off.
