I definitely agree with your post mikaela! We do need protein but that doesn't mean that we can eat as much as we want. Fiber is also as important because it will help clean our intestines and wash all unnecessary toxins from our body

Definitely! When I started with my own diet plan, I ate a lot oatmeal, wheat bread, fruits, and vegetables. Foods that are high in fiber can make you full without the feeling of being bloated. It also makes you full for a longer time so you hardly feel hungry at all. I always make sure that I consume at least 8g of fiber on my diet and so far it helped me maintain my ideal weight.

I have also gone through depression before and normally I gain a little weight when that happens because I normally grab for a bar or two or chocolates. And we all know how much calories there are in a bar of chocolates. So the weight gain add up to the depression which oftentimes the case with people suffering from it

That's right... many people get comfort from wrong food. Instead of eating foods that are packed with calories, choose to grab for a healthy food that will help you go through depression. Chocolates are indeed comfort food and if prefer to eat them to make you feel better, choose dark chocolates because they have lesser calories and richer in antioxidants.

I agree viktoria. I suggest you eat as much fruits as you want. Grapes, blueberries, or apples are good comfort foods too. They are rich in vitamins and antioxidants that your body needs. Plus it's delicious and guilt free. You can only eat as much too because it will make you full with a little serving. So you're choosing to eat healthy while getting comfort from foods.

Like I always say, a person can never go wrong with seeking comfort from fruits even if you over eat them. They are rich in vitamins and fiber that will not only help you feed your hunger but will help you stay fit and healthier. Fruits and vegetables have lesser calories, and you can only eat so much. It will keep you full with a minimal serving and keep you full longer.

Fiber from fruits and vegetables also help with bowel movement that is most of the time the reason for weight gain because the foods that we eat stays longer on our stomach. That is why some people go for slimming teas or laxatives that help them move and lose weight eventually.

I've read that people suferring from mild or major depression shows low concentration on B vitamin nutrient (folate) in their blood so it also helps if you eat foods rich in folate which can be found in liver, beans, spinach and other leafy vegetables.
