Those are easy to follow tips and tricks. I really appreciate it. I'm not good resisting chocolate cravings but I'm sure that I will lose more weight if I reduce my daily sweets/sugar consumption.

I have read recently in an article that chocolate is rich in magnesium and lack of magnesium worsens pms symptoms. If you crave for chocolate so much, taking magnesium supplement everyday can do the trick!

I have never heard of that before and that is just amazing! I normally give in to chocolates when I pms and this will help me a lot if this really works. Thank you kathy!

Sometimes when I really get tempted to eat a chocolate, I just smell it and then I drink coffee. After that my craving is gone and yet I have more energy! If you are only craving for sweets, munch on prunes instead. It's good for digestion and it has a lot of fiber. 40g grams of prunes is only 111 calories. You can enjoy it without feeling guilty

That's great! I used to eat prunes but not anymore. I guess I'll start buying them again because I could use the fiber. I'll also try eating more fruits instead of sweets because they are richer in vitamins and minerals.

If you take a magnesium supplement daily you will crave sweet foods (especially chocolate) much less, especially during pms. I am against fake sugars like equal and splenda, in fact I find that they just increase cravings. You can buy a brand of chocolate called "well, naturally..." and it's sweetened with stevia which is a natural plant extract and is totally harmless. You can buy stevia and this chocolate from most health food shops. Another way to go about it is just to keep junk foods and chocolate out of the house, a freind of mine cuts chocolate bars up into portions and eats one of the portions a day - so it's regulated. Alot of people have mentined fruits, but don't binge on fruits when really you know what it is that you want, and its not fruit - if worse comes to worst, and you dont feel very controlled, buy a little block of chocolate or whatever it is that you want from the newsagent or corner shop and eat that - if you can't get a small block, get a big one and share it with a few people, or even throw it out. Chances are if you just 'eat around' your craving with 'healthy' foods, you will end up eating just as many calories in 'good' foods as you would have just eating the chocolate or whatever - and the same craving will remain after for the initial food.

Wow! I wish I have that too so I won't have troubles controlling my sweets. Unfortunately I have s sweet tooth and I love sweets so much. I have regulated my chocolate intake though and buy dark chocolates instead of milk chocolates which has more sugar. For now whenever I have cravings for sweets, I try to eat grapes, pineapple, or oranges. I get my dose of sugar in a healthy way and consume more fiber.

Dazzler: For your chocolate sweet tooth, I read on Dr.Oz's website about a chocolate covered konjac fiber. I tried one and they tastes pretty good. Doesn't tastes like a rich chocolate bar ( although I bet they want it to ), but the taste def satisfies the craving
