Default What did you sacrifice eating today?

I want to talk about which foods we skipped today and to help us maintain our diet. Why did you have to deprive yourself of it? Sharing this info will help our members feel that they aren't alone in dieting and saying no isn't a bad thing at all. This will also encourage our members to avoid foods that aren't good for their diet. Maybe at least for today

I was in the mall this afternoon and was tempted to eat pizza with my friends but I stopped before I started negotiating with myself. It's been awhile since I last ate a slice of pizza and today seemed to be a good day to enjoy it. I wasn't hungry but the smell of it was just so delicious I wanted to grab a bite or few. I ended up eating a potato salad which was only about 108 calories . It's not that eating pizza is a bad thing. It's just that I had enough calories for today. I saved 222 calories from choosing to eat potato salad than a slice of chicken supreme pizza

This is an interesting topic. I'd love to have some pizza already! Well yesterday I was hanging out with my friends after a game and they decided to buy some soda. I swear I was so thirsty and wanted to give in but I bought gatorade instead which is a healthier option and contains lesser calorie

Interesting discussion indeed! Today I said no to a delicious blueberry cheese cake! It wasn't easy but I did say no. I couldn't even believe that I stopped myself because I normally give in and just exercise more, or cut down on my meals just so I can enjoy a good dessert. I was worried about the fat content though and I know that I have to do a lot more effort to burn it all down. I'm proud of myself and it made me happy

Oh you should really be proud of yourself mikaela. I know it isn't easy to say no to a good dessert. You should be more proud because saying no to it made you happy instead of feeling deprived .

I normally drink 3 cups of coffee everyday but yesterday I only had 2 and only drank water all day!

Thanks kathy! It was difficult to say no but I did and I was really proud. I then realized that I am determined to stay healthy not that cheese cakes aren't good for the health but I was stopping myself from craving it again so it's best to just avoid it while I can

Great work mikaela! Well for me I indulged in a homemade chocolate cake but I cut it in half so I don't eat too much of it. I tend to want more if I eat a big slice

Thanks viktoria. You did great yourself . i too have that tendency to eat more when I have started so I normally cut it in half or just avoid it if I feel like I have had enough calories. This is a good way to motivate our other members to avoid other foods too because we all are doing the same thing

I cut my pal sweet consumption today from 2 to 3 and I feel good. I used honey on my tea instead and it gave my tea a different taste than what I have gotten used to

That's good kathy! You should be happy and proud of yourself. Artificial sweetener consumption should be reduced because we know that it's not healthy. It's best to just stay away from it. Today I said no to yogurt drink . It was only 93 calories but the sugar content is 16g for a 180ml drink which I think is too much. I drank an ice cold water instead!
