    Default How do you de-stress?

When I am tired from working I either come here in the forum to interact with other members and make friends or I watch dvd/tv at home to clear my head. Normally when I am stressed or too tired from work, I go for an activity that will distract me from eating junk or unhealthy foods because it's when I am stressed that I am usually allow myself to indulge on foods that I really enjoy such as pasta, pizza, ice cream or fries. What about you guys? What do you do after work to de-stress?

After work I find time to rest. A power nap always boosts my energy and I can do more things right after. When I am really stressed I walk around because it helps me think and keeps me calm

That's a great one viktoria. I do try to take a nap but I just can't. I don't really find myself wanting to take a nap before my normal sleep schedule. And I am a big fan of movies and tv shows so I'm in front of the tv all the time. Sometimes though I want to take a nap but I just can't. Any suggestions?

Try taking a warm bath when you get home from work then listen to soft music when you lay in your bed. Don't keep the tv on because that will only distract you and keep your brain more awake. You want to keep your body relaxed so forget about what's bothering you first and deal with it later. Your brain will be refreshed and you'll be able calm enough to think things better

I do keep my tv open most of the time lol. I just don't like the feeling when my room is very quiet. I feel suffocated and it makes me uncomfortable but the soft music will surely help

Just keep your eyes close and lie down. Lying down and keeping your mind in peace will help you de-stress. The important thing is you give your mind and body time to rest. Spray your room with a lavender air freshener to help you relax, keep your body comfortable, and don't worry about other things for a few minutes.
