Default The never ending dream of being fit. Let's do this!

Since I was 14 years old I have been dreaming of being fit. I did lose a lot of weight but I have never been able to keep it off. I don't want to be skinny, I want to be athletic and fit. Over the last few years I learned that working out is definitely not the only thing I have to do to reach my fitness goals. DIETING IS THE SECRET! And it is the hardest thing to do!

I have been looking everywhere for answers, support and motivation and I feel like I can't find it. I am hoping this forum will be the place where I can find the motivation and support group I have been looking for. I believe that being part of a group and sharing a goal with people (even if you don't know them) it's the best way to reach a goal. I want to hear your stories! I want to hear your advice! And I will be here to support you as well. Let's do this together!

Nowadays people are more concerned of their health and keeping fit to stay healthier is their motivation. When I was younger I was dieting and exercising to maintain my weight and feel good about myself but as I mature, I realized that health is more important. We're looking forward to hearing about your experience and what you do to lose weight. Glad to have you here

Dieting really is not easy because it makes you feel deprived somehow and we keep fighting it so we don't lose track. However dieting alone will not help us to keep fit and toned, so we need to exercise as well. Proper diet and regular exercise go hand in hand to keep our body healthy and fit.

I was watching a cooking show yesterday "Giada at Home" and she made a very good sense on the whole dieting, eating, and losing weight. She said if you want to lose weight, you don't really need to go on a diet. You just need to eat healthy and make sure that the healthy foods you eat are full of flavors by seasoning them well, because if the healthy foods you eat are not flavorful, you'll feel deprived and that will only make you want to eat the foods that you shouldn't be eating. I definitely agree with this and I understand why when I attempt to eat healthy to lose weight, I end up failing and eating the foods that I used to love. With this in mind, I will enjoy the flavor of my foods and enjoy eating them. That will keep me satisfied and not crave for other foods anymore

Dieting is the most tedious work to do in life,i guess. I have even tried to maintain diet but all gone in vain. I had started doing cardio exercise and even did it for more than a month, but suddenly stopped the dieting because of my laziness and from that point i have increased more weight to my body. Now,once again i am planning to retain my old diet plan.I am really hoping that i start soon.
