    Thanks for sharing Amapola. I also didn't know that grapefruit could have a negative interaction to medication. The information surely helps.

    I would like to add these food as well. These are some of the foods that can help save your heart:


    black beans - rich in antioxidants, folate, magnesium which helps lower blood pressure. It's also a good source of fiber, which helps control cholesterol and blood sugar levels.

    red wine - contains Resveratrol and catechins antioxidants that helps protect artery walls.

    Extra Virgin Olive Oil - contains Polyphenols antioxidants may protect blood vessels. Substitute oils rich in saturated fats with to Extra Virgin Olive Oil to help lower cholesterol levels.

    Edamame - green soybeans which can lower cholesterol and blood triglyceride levels

    Swiss Chard - high in magnesium, potassium and minerals which help control blood pressure.

    I agree... If I could find more foods, I'll definitely add more here. We should eat this as well to reduce our risk or prevent developing heart disease.

    One of the foods that are best for heart health is garlic. This food helps to prevent cell damage and unhealthy blood vessels within the heart. Another shocking food that helps the heart is hot coca. Finally, quinoa which most people think is a great contains plenty of magnesium which helps to relax the blood vessels in the heart. It can also help lower the risk of hypertension and heart disease.

    I love hot cocoa in the morning if I don't have coffee. I have been encouraged to drink more hot chocolate because cocoa is good for women's health. I believe I have also increased my garlic consumption in home cooked meals and garlic bread .
