    Hi everyone,

    I'm a fitness junkie who has experimented with many diets. I've found that finding the right diet and motivation is the main problem for many people and I have decided to help as many people as I can.

    I've currently started a small business and finished creating diet software to make everyone's dieting experience easy. It's very easy to use and effective.

    Great to know you are all motivated to be on the right track. I know first hand how difficult dieting can be. I assume you are all dieting for fat loss and not muscle gain, but correct me if I'm wrong.

    I will give you the following important fat loss tips that get you faster results as best as I can explain:

    * Eat less calories than your body expends, this is done by calculating your Resting Metabolic rate (BMR) and subtracting 150 calories.
    * Know your macronutrients (protein, carbs and fats) and make sure you eat balanced portions of these in your diet. (1g protein = 4 calories, 1g carbs = 4 calories, 1g fat = 9 calories)
    * Drink plenty of water to keep your body constantly hydrated (water has no calories)
    * Eat 5-6 small meals per day instead of 3 large ones to ensure your body utilises the nutrients more effectively.
    * Eat the majority of heavy carbs (such as brown rice, potato) in the first 3 meals and make sure the rest of you carbs are fibrous vegetables to avoid storing them as fat overnight.

    I know that calculating your diet requirements can be difficult. My software (Easy Diet Creator Pro) has these formulas built in, it does the calculations for you and you can print versions of your diet for easy access to it in the kitchen.

    Wow! This is very helpful! I so appreciate this post amsoftwiz! This is going to help me maintain my weight and ensure that I don't gain unnecessary weight. I am indeed eating 5-6 meals everyday and I am surely going to eat more fruits and vegetables in my evening meals

    Thanks for this great guide amsoftwiz! I don't really count my calories (becasue I never learned how to do it) but I am glad that you shared this information with us because I can learn more about dieting. I also eat a lot but it's more on fruits and vegetables, especially when I am craving. I make sure that I reach out for healthy snacks and not junk.

    Counting calories is really hard at first but once you get the hang of it, you'll obsess yourself counting calories in every food you eat. It's a good training actually and will help you a lot in maintaining your desired weight.

    You're right, it can be difficult for people who aren't used to it.

    The right practice is, determine your calories and macronutrient totals, then you can construct a weekly diet for your goal.

    I found it time consuming weighing foods all the time, but the trick is to cook your meals in bulk once every 2-3 days and split them into tupperware.

    That way your meals will be pre-prepared so when it's time for your next meal, you just put it in the microwave and you're ready to go. This sounds difficult at first but you'll find it's a great approach once you get used to it.

    Also, if you really must eat junk food, it's best to eat it following strenuous exercise or first thing in the morning, that way they will most likely be absorbed by your muscle cells and less likely to be stored as fat. It's best to eat it in moderation if you cannot avoid it, I have known people who can't avoid it no matter what they do from experience.

    That is a nice tip amsoftwiz! I don't know how to count my calorie intake. I just make sure that I eat more fruits and vegetables. I don't eat junk foods but I can't seem to avoid dark chocolates. I want to stress though that I eat them in moderation
