    Prevention is still better than cure. To keep kidneys healthy you can take vitamins A, B-complex, C, magnesium and trace minerals from herbal teas. Cinnamon is also good because it warms the kidneys but the best is drinking plenty of cranberry juice every day because it is not only refreshing, it's healthy.

    Another thing that one needs to avoid in order to keep your kidney healthy is drinking too much alcohol. It is also said tha smokers have high risk to kidney diseases so it's also best to stop or avoid smoking.

    How will a person know that he or she already has idney problems? Are there any warning signs or symptoms we should be aware of?

    Viktoria, here are some of the symptoms:

    - Always feeling dizzy or tired
    - Swelling in face, hands and feet
    - Back pain
    - Dark or Blood colored urine
    - change in urinatation (either you urinate more or less often)

    If you have any of these symptoms, go see your doctor so you can be examined.
