Anyone know about lapband surgery in Mazatlan?

I saw a segment on 20/20 about these "vacation spa surgery packages" and there were some real horror stories. I wuld do some thorough investigating before having any work done.

I'm not sure if it was in Mazatlan, I think it was closer to the border, and I know they offer it in Cancun as well

With every surgery there is always a risk that something will go wrong. Like the other person said, there are horror stories about surgery in foreign places. Being in a foreign country and not speaking the language would tend to increase most people's fears of a bad outcome. Who do you go to when you get home and then find out you are having problems? Something to think about...
